City of Fort Collins Announces New Connexion Executive Director

The City of Fort Collins is excited to announce the start of its new Broadband Executive Director, Chad Crager. The Broadband Executive Director serves a vital leadership role in the organization leading the Fort Collins Connexion team and overseeing the building and implementation of the City’s high speed, next-generation fiber network to all residents, businesses, and organizations within the boundaries of the city, which will be completed in Q4 of 2022.

Chad has been the Connexion Outside Plant Director since November 2020 and served as the City Engineer prior to that, where he drove a wide variety of transportation, development projects, and broadband aspects, including local, regional, and statewide projects.

“Chad has a strong history of collaboration and effective leadership, and I am confident that he is just the right person to help us complete the build-out of Connexion service and ensure that it is a thriving business well into the future,” said Interim City Manager Kelly DiMartino.

“I am very honored to be selected for this role with Fort Collins Connexion. My years of experience with city engineering have provided a unique perspective into the Connexion organization,” Crager says. “I am excited for the future and what this service will mean for our community and look forward to continuing the incredible work already underway.”

Chad Crager replaces Colman Keane, whose contract ended earlier this month.
